Peace, all. Here's an alt. prayer for Sunday--with a slightly different piteous longing than the one provided by our common resources. It's meant to mash up with the Gospel: Luke 12:13-21.
Use it or don't! Peace.

PRAYER OF THE DAY
God of love, you are community and you are one. On this earth of plenty, we have more than we need. And yet, we hoard. We build silos. We play keep away. And so lives are lost. And people die. Open our hearts. Free our minds. Gift our spirits anew with your call to live as your banquet, to work toward and to be that place and those people where all are welcome and all are fed. Empower us to do this through Christ, the giver of God's body, the giver of God's grace, and the giver of bread. Amen.
