Peace, all! Here's a prayer of the day for Transfiguration Sunday. In addition to this prayer, you can also find a liturgical piece for use in burning your palms. Just click "previous posts" below. Or simply go to my landing page by clicking here.
Please feel free to use both. Tell me if you do. And please simply cite this page. This is a new request, it is true. I'm hoping your citations will help me in the world of professional publishing as I begin to inhabit its spaces.
A quick pointer: If you are reading this on your phone, rotate your phone so that it's in a horizontal position. When you do that the paragraphs should not be wider than your screen.
Again, peace!

On the Mount of Transfiguration, your Word is revealed anew, O God. Expressed through Moses before Pharaoh’s throne: “Let my people go.” Expressed in prophetic fire through your servant Elijah: “We have strayed from our Liberator. Let us return to the Lord, our home.” And Expressed in Christ, your Word made flesh bringing healing to Creation and good news to all who are poor.
As we ascend new mountains, day to day, hoping for a better view of you, free us, we pray, from the fears that keep us hiding in the bushes, that we might receive your word and heed your call, whatever reluctant liberator, passionate prophet, child of God, or voice from the clouds, delivers it to us today, so that we might walk in love into the world with you. Amen.
